Marketing isn’t the same process as selling. And email marketing shouldn’t always be about forcing your offers and products on your customers and prospects. Don’t do junk mail!

Ensure direct marketing is relevant and well timed. ie. Don’t send offers to customers who only bought from you recently and aren’t going to be in the change cycle for 2-3 years. Ensure you have permission to email to your prospects and customers email should be opt in. Don’t bombard your data base as some customers may eventually decide to opt-out of receiving communications from you.
